Action Water Sports runs catamaran cruises on Lake Tahoe that consistently wow guests with their welcoming crew and stunning water views. Captain Funk and his team earn constant praise for being attentive, friendly, and genuinely fun to spend time with. The Sierra Cloud catamaran itself gets high marks for its open design that gives everyone great sightlines, unlike traditional boat tours where you're jostling for rail space. Guests love the complimentary drinks and snacks, live music on certain cruises, and the relaxed vibe that makes it easy to just soak in Tahoe's beauty. Most reviewers call this a highlight of their Tahoe trip, with many being repeat customers or planning return visits. The experience works well for everything from girls' trips to wedding celebrations to anniversary outings. A couple of concerns worth noting: one guest felt the route stayed too far from shore and missed the scenic coastline homes, and there were complaints about communication issues regarding weather cancellations and follow-up. However, the overwhelming majority had nothing but positive things to say about their time on the water with this crew.
We really enjoyed this experience (our first)--the staff was wonderful, the views of course stunning, and the catamaran is pretty awesome, too. I'm bringing new guests out on it next week!
