This historic Seattle landmark offers something special: a speakeasy-style bar and observation deck with panoramic city views. Visitors consistently praise the affordable admission (especially for Washington residents) and the stunning vistas that stretch across the mountains, Puget Sound, and downtown. The rooftop bar serves up excellent cocktails and good food in a relaxed atmosphere, with many reviewers highlighting the friendly, helpful staff who enhance the experience. The building itself is worth exploring, with original marble staircases and brass details that tell Seattle's story through informative plaques and historical context. Some visitors mention the timed entry system feels a bit cumbersome, though most agree the experience makes it worthwhile. It's particularly magical around sunset when you can catch both daylight and evening views. A few reviewers noted occasional service inconsistencies and event logistics that could be smoother, but these seem to be isolated incidents rather than the norm. Overall, it's a fantastic spot for both tourists and locals looking to soak in Seattle's skyline from a unique vantage point.

We did the guided tour with Spencer. He was knowledgeable and super enthusiastic. It was just my partner and I on the tour, and Spencer provided lots of information. The building is truly beautiful and it was fun to learn the history, and we had a great view of Seattle on a beautiful spring day.
